Emily Bowden Portfolio Book, 2005
I created 8 portfolio books for marketing researcher and art director, Emily Bowden. I appropriated CliffNotes books on a selection of novels that meant something to Emily. They make a humorous nod to "the brief", while increasing the bulk of the originally slim book to twice it's size.
The additional content (Emily's writing and imagery) was designed in InDesign, printed, and then I personally hand trimmed each page and inserted them into the books affixing them with caution tape. The die cuts were also created by hand. This book is an intensive labor of love. It makes an impression in a fast-paced automated world.
