Caution Play, 2005 (single channel video installation, 2 min, 34 sec)
This video is projected onto the shade of small narrow window inside the gallery. The boys playing with the gun and the gestures they mimic are the epitome of stylized violence and a visual sign for caution. Graphic translation is contrasted with live action, the video reflects on innocent play and the aesthetics of violence. This was installed as part of the "Not For Sale" exhibition at the Fine Arts Gallery at VCUarts.
