The Evolution of Silence: I traveled to the Nevada Test Site,
to experience first-hand what remains of the (nearly 1,000) nuclear tests, and to understand more fully their impact on the landscape and on people. In addition to working on my own imagery, I am also exploring the visual communication materials that were created (with emphasis on year 1953) to sell the notion of the bomb: by celebrating its power and neutralizing its dangers. Research for this new project has been funded in part by UNCC. [more]
