Myth of Mary Polly Calderwood

Uncovered at the Vinalhaven Historical Society at DesignInquiry (DI) program: NoQuo. Polly, who lived on Vinalhaven Island, ME, was (either) vilified for challenging what was acceptable behavior for women—or maybe she really was just ‘an awful thing.’

This project was initiated over the course of four days on the island of Vinalhaven in collaboration with a group of design friends: Maia Wright, Chris Fox, Alice Lee, Steve Bowden, Arzu Ozkal, and with Joshua Unikel and Josh Singer.
